Batanes is the northernmost province of the Philippines known for its archipelagic waters, meaning it is composed of a group of islands scattered across the sea. Apart from having a location that distinguishes it from the rest of the provinces, it is also considered the smallest province in the country, both in terms of its population and its land area.

The Sabtang Lighthouse in Batanes, along with two other lighthouses, was constructed in the early 2000s to aid seafarers in navigating the rough seas. Located on a downhill slope beside the waters, the towering lighthouse stands tall amidst the crashing waves.
This picturesque view, characterized by the sunset orange skies, deep blue sea and stone gray architecture, is not one to miss.
